Some people come to the spiritual path through working with Sanskrit Mantras to change their relationship with and experience of Abundance. So for that reason, I love working with people that wish to transform this part of their lives and to see the changes that can happen in their lives if they are willing to do some work.
Often when they see the changes in their bank account, and also the shifts in their consciousness, they are hooked and they want more of the spiritual benefits. This is always a good thing. It doesn’t matter in the long run which doorway we enter, as long as we do!
My Sanskrit Mantra teacher, Thomas Ashley-Farrand told a story of one of his students from Chicago. The businessman came to him because he was experiencing difficulty financially with his company. Thomas explained to him that it was all a matter of karma and that if he understood this and was up to doing a lot of chanting, he could mitigate his karma and reap the rewards.
The businessman took up the challenge and started with great gusto chanting the Lakshmi Mantra 125,000 times. This took him about 4 months to do but at the end – there was no change in his business. Undefeated, Thomas’s student did another 125,000 repetitions, but again to no avail.
But this man understood something about karma, that he had caused it himself at some unremembered time in some unidentified lifetime and that it was his alone to change and transform. Thomas also chuckled “….And he didn’t blame his Sanskrit teacher either”.
So… the businessman did another 125,000……. this time it worked. His business became successful. And his success lasted.
I love this simple story because it illustrates so well how Mantras work. It sometimes takes time and often a lot of work to mitigate our karma. But so worth it!
Calling in Abundance depends upon one’s own karma. Once you’ve accepted that and are willing, it’s helpful to create a ‘stack’ of Mantras in order to fortify their potency.
One Abundance Stack you could do is:
OM GUM SHRIM MAHALAKSHMIYEI NAMAHA
SALUTATIONS TO DIVINE MOTHER WHO IS THE BESTOWER OF GREAT PROSPERITY (WITH THE HELP OF GANESHA)
OM SHRI SHAKTIYEI NAMAHA
SALUTATIONS TO DIVINE MOTHER WHO IS THE SHAKTI OF ALL WEALTH
OM VASUPRADAYA NAMAHA
SALUTATIONS TO ONE WHO GLADLY BESTOWS WEALTHA ND ABUNDANCE
OM SARVA KAMADAYA NAMAHA
SALUTATIONS TO ONE WHO BESTOWS ALL DESIRED FRUITS
Chant them one mala each Mantra in succession every night and every morning for 40 days and see what you experience.
If you would like to have help creating a more personal Mantra stack, you can set up a session with me over Skype or Google+.
